Why I Started This Blog
Hello, I’m Andrew. Most of my friends call me Raspo (hence the blog name).
I created this blog as a place to centralize my thoughts and projects. Instead of having ideas scattered everywhere, this is where everything lives. If you get something useful or inspiring out of it, even better.
I’m a financial analyst in Chicago, so you can expect some macro and market-related content. I spend a lot of time thinking about how things work, especially in finance.
Outside of that, I have a lot of interests.
I love music. I play guitar and piano, and I’ve been thinking about getting into recording and making my own stuff.
I’ve also been practicing coding and trying to build things, like this website. I learned SQL, SAS, and R in school, and recently I’ve been teaching myself Python. I’m still figuring it out, but that’s part of the point.
I love to cook, so I might post some recipes here. Fitness is also a big part of my life. Right now I do CrossFit, but I’ve spent a lot of time powerlifting, running, and even getting into yoga.
And yeah, I play a lot of video games. I’ve been playing League of Legends since Season 3, and I’m always into a good open-world RPG.
This blog is basically all of that in one place. Finance, building things, fitness, music, and whatever else I get interested in.
I don’t have everything figured out, but I like learning, building, and improving over time. That’s really what this is about.
If any of that sounds interesting to you, feel free to follow along
